Reporters: The Student News Team and The Student Representative Council

In Week 3, students at Lake Illawarra High School celebrated Education Week and the theme 'Learning Together'. The Student News Team and Student Representative Team worked together to interview students and report on the innovative and exciting lessons taught at LIHS every day. "Education Week is an annual celebration of NSW public education and the achievements of local schools and students. This year, Education Week will run from Monday 3 August to Friday 7 August 2020 and the theme is 'Learning together'" -- Education NSW

The students enjoyed working in collaborative environments, learning in practical and hands-on ways, and understanding the value of education. Education Week was also an excellent opportunity for the Student News Team to work alongside the Student Representative Council.

Lake Illawarra High School has many extra-curricular activities for students to enrich their learning experience. The SNT is a great team to consider joining if you like writing, reporting, journalism, filming, and design. Whereas, the SRC is a great team to consider joining if you want to make positive changes in our school, based on the feedback of your peers. The SRC are frequently running fundraisers to support charities or make improvements around the school.
