LIHS Students would like to thank the PE faculty for organising so many fun events for us at our school. Last term ended with a basketball competition in the hall, organised by Mr Carrett. Both students and teachers participated in the competition.

It was lots of fun!

October is mental health month and Black Dog Institute is running a virtual fundraising walk to raise money to help people with mental health issues in Australia. Our school has currently walked over 375kms to support this important cause. You can donate or cheer on our staff and students who are walking for mental health below.

A big congratulations to Logan O'Sullivan! He has raised more money than any other student. He has raised $268!

And well done to Mrs Willingham! She has raised more money than any other teacher. She has raised $355!

Promoting fitness and staying active is something we should all consider daily. Staying healthy lengthens your lifespan, makes you feel good and makes you a positive role model to others.

How many kilometres will you walk in October?
